Information
This cast iron frame sits on top of the ashpit itself, and holds the two grate halves in place.
The Baxi fire front slots into the two indents at the front. The line in the casting marks the normal position of the wall-line when the frame is installed, and the bosses are designed to stop the baxi side cheeks from slipping in towards the grate housing.
The flange on the ashpan sits on the ledge at the bottom of the casting keeping it suspended so that air can circulate all round it.
