Hand-Painted Tile Sets

Our hand painted sets of decorative fireplace tiles are still manufactured in the traditional way here in the UK designed to fit in cast iron combination fireplaces and fireplace inserts from the late Victorian period through to the first world war. They generally come as a set of ten fireplace tiles.

The background of these tiles is hand glazed as are the flower pictures so it is almost impossible to match colours to a background glaze. Traditionally it would have been the decorative colours of the flowers and leaves that would be used around the tiles rather than the background.
